The Role
We're looking for a dedicated Business Development Representative who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited to be at the forefront of our sales process. This role is perfect for someone who combines sharp business acumen with a hunger to learn and grow in the technology sector.
Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for all incoming demo requests and inquiries, ensuring prompt response and follow-up
- Conduct discovery calls to qualify prospects and understand their GRC needs
- Schedule and facilitate smooth handoffs to Account Executives for qualified opportunities
- Manage and reinvigorate stale opportunities through strategic re-engagement campaigns
- Execute targeted outreach campaigns to potential clients
- Maintain detailed records of all prospect interactions in our CRM
- Stay current with product updates and basic GRC/Information Security concepts

Requirements
- 1+ years of sales experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to meet and exceed performance goals
- Basic understanding of technology products
- Experience with cold calling preferred
- SaaS sales experience preferred
- GRC or Information Security knowledge is a significant plus, but not required
What Success Looks Like in Your First 3 Months
By the end of your first three months, you should be able to:
- Independently conduct effective discovery calls and accurately qualify/disqualify opportunities
- Demonstrate understanding of basic GRC and Information Security Concepts
- Confidently explain StandardFusion’s value proposition to prospects
- Navigate common prospect objections and concerns
- Manage your pipeline effectively through our sales tools
- Successfully manage the full qualification process from lead acceptance to scheduling qualified demos with Account Executives

Location
- Hybrid work arrangement: 3 days in office with some flexibility for remote work
- Local candidates only - must be able to commute to Vancouver office
Note: This is an in-person role based in Vancouver. While we offer some work-from-home flexibility, we believe in the power of in-person collaboration for sales success, particularly for those early in their sales careers. Our sales team works together in the office three days per week to foster mentorship, learning, and team selling.
